The wood facade above my back patio is rotting. I need to have this replaced and also would like to have the roof checked to see if there is a leak that is causing the rotting in the facade.

Currently have a welded rubber roof on a flat roofed home. I am considering a granular coated epdm roof installed over the existing roof(no tear off) with 1/2" insulation. I've been told the area is approx. 32 squares and that there is around 400 linear feet at the boundary with the mansard shingle roof. The shingles are in good shape and would only be replacing two rows of the shingles around the bottom of the upper mansard(sp?)
